Sherwood tuckshop follows the Qld government smart choices guidelines. As much as possible we choose to make our food fresh in the tuckshop. We rely on volunteers to help provide our 5 star service. Please consider joining the team. Profits from the tuckshop currently provide upgrades to student eating areas, adding tables and seating as we can.
Information regarding our menu
All sandwiches & rolls are whole meal. Wraps are white. The ham used in our sandwiches etc is Hans champagne ham. The chicken used is fresh chicken breasts marinated in our secret Sherwood herb mix and lightly pan-fried in the tuckshop. Picnic rolls are slightly larger than a dinner roll, whilst we will endeavour to make a chicken + salad + cheese if you order it, they are really too small for this amount of filling and better suited to simpler choices ie ham and tomato etc.
The chicken in the teriyaki chicken sushi is also chicken breasts cooked fresh in the tuckshop, marinated in teriyaki sauce. All sushi is made fresh in house each day. Only the stated options are available that day, as time does not permit otherwise.
Chicken sizzle burgers are chicken breast strips coated with a breadcrumb sweet chili coating (purchased prepared) served hot in a whole meal long roll with mayo, carrot, tomato and lettuce. (The chicken is heated, the rest room temp).
Our yoghurt based products use Greek yoghurt in combination with canned mangoes & frozen mixed berries (to ensure availability all year round). This yoghurt is not sweet and may not be to all children’s taste. Yoghurt cups and smoothies are made fresh as required.
Homebake surprise are muffins baked at home by our volunteer team. They may be any flavour but are often chocolate, blue berry, apple or banana. It is not possible to guarantee a particular type as it is up to the volunteers what they choose to cook.
Pikelets are made fresh in the tuckshop also and come totally plain if you do not specify butter or jam. There are two pikelets to a serve. Due to time constraints, these are only available for second break.
Chicken Lasagna, Sausage Rolls and Snack pies are ready made and re-heated by us. These are low fat and comply with Government requirements.
We have a strict no nut policy so there is no fear of cross contamination for those with nut allergies.
Birthday icy poles can be ordered at a cost of $15 per class, which includes a balloon and maybe a song! Please order two weeks in advance to avoid disappointment, as sometimes we cannot provide for last minute orders.
