Dear Parents and Guardians,
This Friday 11 June, your child will be participating in the Prep -Year 3 Junior Sports Day Carnival, which is being held on the Sherwood State School oval. The event is an opportunity to promote sport as a fun and exciting experience, with the emphasis on the enjoyment of participation.
The activities students will be participating in will include sprints, hurdles, long jump, throwing activities, ball games, and relay races.
Activity details:
In order to maximise time and increase student participation, the carnival will be split into two parts: Prep - Year 1 and Year 2 - Year 3.
9 am - 11am: The Prep and Year 1 students will descend on the oval to participate in an opening ceremony and rotational activities.
11.45am - 1.45pm: The Year 2 and Year 3 students will descend on the oval participate in an opening ceremony and rotational activities.
Students are encouraged to wear their house colours (Simpson - yellow, Radcliffe - green and Boyland - blue) and appropriate running shoes. They will also need to bring a school hat and a large drink bottle.
Parents and guardians are invited to attend and join in on the fun. Please meet our classes on the oval.
