Good morning families,

Year 4 - 6 House Swimming Carnival

Students will need to bring their hats, swim bag including 'rashie'/swim shirt, sunscreen, water bottle and their lunch for the Swimming Carnival on Monday 5 December. Parents are welcome to join us at the Sherwood Sharks precinct from 9:00am onwards. This is when students will make their way down to the pool with their class. This event will run right through until the last session of the day.

Freestyle 50m races will begin at 9:15am and backstroke 50m races by 10:00am.

Age championship 50m races will be scheduled first in each stroke. Students have previously been timed to determine the fastest six students in each of the championship events.

These championship events will be held for each age group of boys and girls (born 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010) in 50m freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.

Only ‘championship race’ students will be allowed to take their sun shirt off briefly to swim their age championship race.

All students will be expected to swim the distance that they have qualified for, whether it be 50m event/s, 25m event/s, or half-pool 13m events.

Please note, there will be no tuckshop available for students this week, however a sausage sizzle will be held on carnival day at the pool. Please see the below flyer for details.

All students should apply sunscreen before they come to school on the day.

Thank you
