Welcome back for the new year. Please note some important Eastern Taipans District Trials information below:
District trials are for students aged 10 – 12 years of age, or students born in 2011 – 2013. Trial dates are attached for your information and will also displayed on an information board located in the New Hall, so please encourage your child to find the board and take note of the dates.
Students who would like to trial for a selected sport will need to see me at least two weeks prior to the trial and complete a trial request form. Successful students will need to complete district trial paperwork prior to attending the trial.
Swimming, cross country and track and field students will be selected from performances and results in school carnivals. For swimming, all students who wish to compete at the district trial on 8 February need to come and see me ASAP to collect a trial request form as they will need to supply times with the nomination and must meet qualifying times to be selected.
District trials are representative trials and students should have experience in the selected sport and will most likely need to compete at a high club level to be considered for selection. Certain sports have limits on the number of students we are able to send to trial and a school trial may be required to determine selection.
Paper nominations are when there is no district trial and nominations are sent through for selection in the regional team.
