Good morning families,
We've finally reached the last week of school for 2023!
Below are some important reminders for this week:
Wednesday 7 December
Report cards will be issued to all students via email from OneSchool. Please keep an eye on your spam folder if you do not receive before the end of the day.
Our Year 6 End-of-Year Celebration evening will commence at 6pm in the New Hall for all graduating families, followed by a dinner at Westside HQ.
Thursday 8 December
All students except Year 6 are invited to wear free dress (but ensure they are sun safe). Year 6 students should attend school in full uniform in preparation for their final assembly.
9.30am - Rock N Mime finals begin and parents are very welcome to join us in the New Hall.
This will be followed by class parties. Your class teacher should have been in contact with details.
1.30pm - Special assembly in the New Hall to present all Interschool Swimming Carnival Age Champions and Sport Awards, farewell teachers moving on from Sherwood, and congratulate our outgoing Year 6 students. Parents are invited to attend this assembly.
Class announcements for 2023 will be made to all students on this day. If your student is absent, you will be contacted by their 2023 teacher by email to advise. We kindly ask that you do not phone the office asking for class details.
Friday 9 December
This is our annual 'clean-up day', but the school remains open to students and you are welcome to send them if you need or wish. Students will be invited to wear comfortable free-dress to assist teachers with their end-of-year tasks.
This is also the last day to collect all student medication from the office.
The office will close at 3pm on this day for the Christmas break.
Christmas break
If you need to contact the school over the break, please use admin@sherwoodss.eq.edu.au, noting this email address will only be monitored sporadically. The school office will not be attended, and no phone calls or voicemails will be answered.
Our administration office will re-open in a limited capacity to prepare for the school year on Monday 16 January 2023. School will resume for families on Monday 23 January 2023.
Our Uniform Shop will also reopen in January 2023, with the following back-to-school hours:
Monday 16 January - 9am - 3pm
Tuesday 17 January - 9am - 1pm
Wednesday 18 January - 1pm - 5pm
Thursday 19 January - 1pm - 5pm
Friday 20 January - 9am - 1pm
