the Children's Book Council of Australia
The CBCA shortlisted books provided stimulus for many interesting
and enjoyable discussions during Library lessons.
We celebrated by decorating the Library to suit the theme. It was
very sparkly and special. Some staff, with imaginative ideas and enthusiasm,
created a wonderful environment for students to enjoy books.
We had a Book Week Dress-Up day too. It was a great success with
many students and staff members joining in. Our special assembly allowed
everyone to admire each other's costumes.
Lunchtime activities based around Shortlisted books were fun. A
fantastic group of students helped supervise and assist fellow
students, and set up and tidy away activities.
Each day we had guest story readers. They were staff who
generously offered their time to share favourite books with eager students.
