DISTRICT SPORT TRIALS & REGIONAL SWIMMING TRIALS
Given the late start to the year, representative district trials have been rescheduled for February, so nominations are due in to Mr Robinson by the dates below. Usually no more than 3-5 students are selected, based on ability and experience playing the sport, to enable the trial to be conducted successfully.
Often students selected for the district team have had at least 3 years playing at a club level, and are turning 11 or 12 years of age.
Please deposit your nomination forms in the trays in the hallway of the music room entrance via New Hall or Music Room entrance.

Regional swimming time trials
This year the Taipans district swim trials have been cancelled due to Covid-19 regulations and late start to the year.
However, it has been decided that students who meet regional qualifying times will be invited by the school to compete in the regional swim trial on Wednesday 23 February at the Sleeman Sports Complex at Chandler. Parents will be responsible for transport to and from the venue.
The school expects some students who have times 'signed off' from their coach at their club, or by a parent, may be invited depending on previous ability demonstrated at our school carnival. To this end, Mr Robinson has already given out ‘recording sheets’ to be signed by coaches for the requisite regional swimming events.
Please return these to Mr Robinson by Friday 11 February or at latest Monday 14 February. Students can return these forms to the box outside the office in the Music building hallway.
Also, please send your school swimming permission notes back electronically or in paper form to your teacher.
