Dear families,
We've just been informed the large order of Sherwood State School red polo shirts (which was placed by our uniform shop many months ago) is now not going to arrive by the first day of school for 2022.
We understand a number of families had placed pre-orders, and need these shirts to start day 1 of school. We sincerely apologise on behalf of Wearitto for this unexpected development. From what we understand, it is yet another by-product of COVID-19 delays, but we know that does not help our new families, who are now without the correct shirt to start school.
If you are one of these affected families (particularly Prep, or a new student), we ask you to please email sherwoodss@wearitto.com.au urgently today, so we can enact our contingency plans for you. This will include Wearitto arranging a red polo to each affected family, and our school purchasing some red t-shirts for students in need. In addition, our Pre-Prep Possums are also very welcome to wear their branded red shirts to school during this interim period if required. The uniform shop also has second-hand shirts for sale.
But we could also use your help. If you are an existing Sherwood family and have any spare shirts in smaller sizes (4-10), which you no longer need and are happy to donate, we'd love if you can please drop these off to the office this week. We would be very appreciative.
Thank you for your understanding. This isn't the start to the year we all hoped for, but rest assured we will always come together as a community to support each other - and will do whatever it takes to make the first day of school run as smoothly as possible.
Yours sincerely,
Amanda Hawkswell
Principal
